The pianist Nestor Bayona offered on Friday February 20 concert of chamber music at the Aula Magna of the IEI. Performing works by Beethoven, Brahms and Chopin.
This Lleida 24 years has won numerous awards at the RNCM, the Piano Recital Prize in 2006, the Silverstone-Blank Piano Duo Prize along with Luis Becerra in 2007, and most recently this past June received the most prestigious award offered by the school the Gold Medal. Was also a finalist in the contest and Ricard Viñas competition Ettlingen Germany. During the summer he received a special award at international piano contest in Ibiza, which offers the possibility of playing at the festival Concerti Faravelli Villa Italy.
Nestor Bayona has worked with directors George Mora and Baldur Brönnimann, the clavecinista Sharon Gould and pianist Melvyn Tan, Nelson Goerner, Alexander Melnikov, Richard Goode and Maria Josep Colom.
Nestor debuted in October 2007 at the prestigious Palacio de la Música Catalana. He has also participated in the first piano festival on the islands and Bermuda gave a concert as a soloist and as a duet with the mezzo-soprano Lardeau Cathi in the auditorium Ebina Kanagawa, Japan.
This is the fourth of seven concerts of chamber music programmed by the Symphony Orchestra Julià Carbonell of the Lands of Lleida (OSJCTL at Ilerdencs Studies Institute (IEI).
