The Archive Service and legacies is a public service focused on the management and treatment of documentation and in its custody and reporting. Manages, and disseminates the guards bibliographic and documentary heritage that make up the different legacies granted the Institute during the year.
Functions of the Service:The Archives of the Institute is created from the funds that are guarding the building of the Old Hospital of Santa Maria result of the seizures made during the Civil War. Starting in the custody of a documentation of diverse origin, whether ecclesiastical, municipal, or notary, it was possible to create the Archive.The Service makes available to researchers and users all its funds to facilitate their research and local investigation. For this purpose, and to make dissemination, the Institute has begun the Col·lecció Claus Volta, understood as a tool of consultation and disclosure. Currently, the funds are with the computerized management program ALEPH library and can be consulted from the catalog to the website of the institution.
